Some proof reading questions
Hi Michelle,
There were some phrases whose meaning was not clear.
Can you provide me with an alternative phrase of sentence?
Printing will probably be done next week. The coordinator of the program says she needs to read too before printing.

Sejin
1] Chapter 1, Birthplace
The house was in very good condition. As he walked down
from the main house on each side, there were these high pens where he kept a
lot of fantail pigeons that went right down to where the dairy was. There was also a very neatly
built aviary, which had lots of birds. You could see by this that Uncle Charles
was an Estonian, and it was building that for that sort of system.

Question: What is the connection between being an Estonian and keeping birds? Not clear.

4] Chapter 3 Sporting Life, Dock Jones Story
Back to Dick Jones, we used to call him King Richard. He had a crooked knee. He tried to play football with us, with the team I played for, but he just couldn't. I retired a couple of years after, as they went to the Northern Areas League. He got the job as a coach. And they were playing one day. He had Slade playing at full forward, and Don Fielding, who was the captain of the B grade side, was alongside him, and he said to Dick "Go on Dick, for Christ’s sake. We're going to get beaten if you leave it like that.” He had him at full forward. “You've got to move him.” Dick wouldn't, and so it was a targeting thing.
